The Harlem Globetrotters are celebrating 92 iconic years of basketball artistry, side-splitting comedy and one-of-a-kind family entertainment that continues to thrill fans of all ages. The Globetrotters are amazing basketball entertainers and some of the greatest athletes on the planet, and the live show is unrivaled in the world of family entertainment. With incredible ball handling wizardry, amazing rim-rattling dunks and trick shots and unequaled on-court interaction with the fans, it’s a must-see event that is guaranteed to entertain the whole family and create memories that will last a lifetime.

  • The Globetrotters will tip off their 2018 “Amazing Feats of Basketball” World Tour on Dec. 7 and will play in over 250 North American markets, as well as 30 countries worldwide.
  • Known as the innovators of basketball and entertainment, the Harlem Globetrotters currently hold 17 Guinness World Records Titles.
  • On Guinness World Records Day (Nov.9, 2017), Thunder Law established the new Guinness World Record title for the highest upwards basketball shot, connecting from 50 feet, 1 inch to set the new mark in celebration of Guinness World Records Day.
  • In preparation for their upcoming tour, the Globetrotters also took to the heart of New York City – Times Square, to set the new Guinness World Record for most half court shots made by a team in one hour. In front of a live national television audience, the team sunk an unprecedented 348 baskets from over 47-feet away from the hoop.
  • The Globetrotters roster is loaded with exciting talent, including some of the best dribblers, dunkers and shooters in the world. Six players on the current roster have competed in the annual College Slam Dunk contest during Final Four Weekend, including Money Merriweather, Clutch Ball, Beast Douglas, Thunder Law, Bull Bullard and Hi-Lite Bruton. Additionally, Globetrotters rookie Primetime Maberry, who stands 5-feet-5 inches, went on to win the popular television show “Dunk King” in May of 2016.
  • The Globetrotters are innovators and trendsetters – always looking forward – and have been a team of “firsts:” · The first African-American to ever sign an NBA contract was a Harlem Globetrotter – Nat “Sweetwater” Clifton in 1950. Other Globetrotters that went on to successful NBA careers include Wilt Chamberlain and Connie Hawkins. · The first woman to play for a men’s professional basketball team was a Harlem Globetrotter – Lynette Woodard. In all, 16 women have played for the Globetrotters. · The Globetrotters were the first professional sports franchise to ever be owned by an African-American, former Globetrotters player Mannie Jackson. · The first and only man to dunk on a 12-foot basket was a Globetrotter – Michael “Wild Thing” Wilson. · The Globetrotters are the first team to ever send a basketball into space – in May 2009, on the Space Shuttle Atlantis mission to the Hubble Telescope. · In 2010, the Globetrotters once again changed the face of basketball by introducing the 4-point shot.
